Soul Vibes Sunday at McKinley Tech Homecoming 2024: Community, Vibes, and Local Craftsmanship

McKinley Tech’s Homecoming on October 26th, 2024, was an incredible experience! It’s always special to return to Tech, where I played varsity basketball during my senior season in 2009/2010. Coming to Tech felt like joining a family, and the connections I made with students and alumni have stayed with me ever since. Even though I didn’t graduate from Tech, the school holds a place in my heart, and I’m grateful for every chance to give back.

This year, Status Apparel DC was part of the Soul Vibes Sunday Pop-Up Market, organized by @djblackhouse12 and @districtofcandace. The market was full of great energy, with Tech students, alumni, and community members stopping by to support local businesses and celebrate the spirit of Homecoming. It was amazing to see familiar faces and new ones, all coming together to create a day filled with positivity and community pride.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to check us out and shop. It’s moments like these that make our work meaningful. And big shoutout to @djblackhouse12, @districtofcandace, and the @_soulvibessunday team for organizing yet another fantastic event. They truly make these markets special.
