Every year, Techsgiving reminds me why showing up in these spaces matters—not just for the brand, but for the bigger picture of community, culture, and connection.
Being part of the Techsgiving Small Business Marketplace for the third year was an honor. The Summit continues to grow, evolve, and raise the bar, and it’s inspiring to witness that progression up close. From the quality of information shared to the energy throughout the week, Techsgiving consistently delivers an experience that’s intentional, impactful, and rooted in community-building.
Building Community in a Thriving Industry
One of the things I love most about Techsgiving is the audience. You’re engaging with professionals from a thriving, forward-thinking industry—people who are curious, driven, and open to learning. Folks come from all over to network, gain knowledge, and build real relationships. That openness creates space for genuine conversations, not just surface-level exchanges.
And one thing that continues to stand out: quality translates, no matter the audience. Whether someone comes from tech, finance, design, or entrepreneurship, people recognize intention, craftsmanship, and authenticity when they see it. Fashion becomes a bridge—something familiar that sparks conversation, connection, and curiosity across industries.
Fashion Across Industries
It’s always dope to see how fashion translates and adapts in different spaces. At Techsgiving, I’m reminded that style isn’t limited to one lane—it’s fluid. It moves through tech, business, finance, and culture seamlessly. Seeing people from various industries connect with the Status message reinforces why we do what we do.
Energy, Innovation, and Historic DC Spaces
The energy at Techsgiving is unmatched—vibrant, welcoming, and full of momentum. Add in the backdrop of historic Washington, DC venues like the Kennedy Center and Nationals Park, and it elevates the entire experience. There’s something powerful about gathering innovative minds in spaces that hold history while pushing toward the future.
The Marketplace was also a chance to meet and connect with amazing brands, founders, and companies doing impactful work. Being surrounded by innovation at every turn is motivating and affirming.
Meeting Earn Your Leisure
One major highlight this year was connecting with Earn Your Leisure (EYL)—the NYC-based financial literacy platform and podcast founded by Rashad Bilal and Troy Millings. Their ability to blend business education with pop culture has made a real impact, and it was great hearing gems directly from them and their team.
Huge shoutout to Rashad Bilal for the support and for purchasing some of our “Way of Life” socks. It was genuinely great meeting you and chopping it up. The knowledge the EYL team continues to share with the community is appreciated and needed.

Grateful & Looking Ahead
Major shoutout to the entire Techsgiving team on another successful Summit week. The quality of the programming, the care behind the experience, and the continued growth year after year is something special to witness.
I’m honored to have been part of the Marketplace once again—and already looking forward to what’s next.
Catch us at next year’s Summit. Until then, stay tapped in with the brand and everything we’re building atStatusApparelDC.com.
