On Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, Status Apparel DC had the incredible opportunity to be part of Black Joy Parade Year 8 in Oakland, CA—and what a day it was! From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by pure energy, culture, and community love.
The Black Joy Parade, presented by Black Infant Health CA, is more than just an event; it’s a movement. With over 30,000 attendees, the streets of Oakland were alive with music, dance, and vibrant displays of Black excellence. Being in the heart of it all, introducing people to the Status Way of Life, and seeing their excitement for our brand was truly inspiring.
We met so many amazing individuals—new supporters, fellow creatives, and entrepreneurs all celebrating joy, resilience, and culture. The love and support for Black-owned businesses were undeniable, and we’re grateful for every conversation, every connection, and every new member of the Status Apparel DC family.
